The National Aboriginal Art Gallery will be Australia's pre-eminent cultural institution for truth-telling and reconciliation through the medium of Aboriginal visual culture and creativity. Construction is expected to start in late 2022.
The gallery will be built in Alice Springs, Central Australia. The region is renowned for its range of artistic practices, and was where contemporary Aboriginal art as we know it, began.
